BPS Culture of Care – Mediation Referral

Mediation is a civil conversation between parties involved in a conflict. The meeting is facilitated by a neutral third party who specializes in conflict resolution and provides an opportunity for all involved to be seen, heard, and to make decisions about how to move through the existing conflict toward peace.

Before you proceed, please gather as much of the following information as possible:

  • First and last name for all students, faculty/staff or community members involved

  • Date of the incident

  • Brief description of the incident/reason for referral

  • At least one parent/guardian first and last name + email and best phone number for each involved student

  • Names and contact information for any other parties who are invited to mediation for this incident.
